The Confucius Institute was established in the fall of 2019 at the University of Debrecen. It was founded with the support of two of our partner institutes TFSU (Tianjin Foreign Studies University) and Confucius Institute Headquarters (HANBAN)
The Confucius Institute at the University of Debrecen cherishes the relation between the cultures of China and Hungary. Its primary mission is to teach the Chinese language and to familiarize the region with the culture of China. Therefore, in addition to language instruction, the Institute will organize cultural events among them different lectures, film screenings and get-togethers related to Chinese national holidays.
